Crabmeat AppetizersClaudia Rousseau
Easy, delicious and can be made ahead.
- total time:
- 30 min
- 1 7-oz. can crabmeat
- 1 stick soft margarine
- 1 jar Krafts Old English cheese
- 1 Tbl. mayonnaise
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 6-8 english muffins, split in half
Soften cheese and margarine together with the back of a spoon. Add the crabmeat, mayonnaise and garlic salt. Mix together well. Spread on english muffins. (May use more than 6 if you don’t spread it as thick, possibly 8)
Cut each muffin into 6 pieces. Bake at 350° for about 10 minutes and then place under broiler until bubbly and toasted.
To Make Ahead :
Cut a 4" square of wax paper to place on top of each muffin half. Place cookie sheet of muffins into the freezer until firm. Then remove muffins and place in a ziplock bag to keep frozen until ready to use.
When ready to use, take waxed paper off and cut each into 6 pieces. Bake frozen, as directed, for 10-15 minutes.
Great to have on hand for unexpected guests. Can bake only what you need.
