Crabmeat Appetizers

Easy, delicious and can be made ahead.

  • 1 7-oz. can crabmeat
  • 1 stick soft margarine
  • 1 jar Krafts Old English cheese
  • 1 Tbl. mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 6-8 english muffins, split in half

    Soften cheese and margarine together with the back of a spoon. Add the crabmeat, mayonnaise and garlic salt. Mix together well. Spread on english muffins. (May use more than 6 if you don’t spread it as thick, possibly 8)

    Cut each muffin into 6 pieces. Bake at 350° for about 10 minutes and then place under broiler until bubbly and toasted.

    To Make Ahead :

    Cut a 4" square of wax paper to place on top of each muffin half. Place cookie sheet of muffins into the freezer until firm. Then remove muffins and place in a ziplock bag to keep frozen until ready to use.

    When ready to use, take waxed paper off and cut each into 6 pieces. Bake frozen, as directed, for 10-15 minutes.


Great to have on hand for unexpected guests. Can bake only what you need.
