Fried Rice
Mrs. Merioles recipe. She went to the church we grew up in.
ingredients
- green onions, chopped
- garlic clove, minced
- green pepper, chopped
- 1-2 carrots, shredded
- small can of shrimp
- ham scraps or pork chops, diced
- chicken parts, chopped
- 2 cups rice-not minute rice
- 1 can water chestnuts
- 1/2 cup bean sprouts
- 2 eggs scrambled-cooked
- soy sauce for flavor and color
directions
Cook rice according to directions. Place oil in skillet or wok. When hot add onions and garlic and saute’. Add green peppers, carrots, and water chestnuts and saute’. Then add scrambled eggs. Then add each meat. Then add rice that has been cooked according to directions.

Happy eating. Can be reheated the next day by adding small amount of water to soften.
