Thin Crust Pizza Dough
We like making Pizzas with friends over, and you were so cute to say you’d rather make pizzas for just the two of us, so I wouldn’t be in the kitchen the whole time while everyone else was eating. I love you!
ingredients
- 2 tsp. Active dry yeast
- 1/2 c. Very warm water
- 2 tsp. Honey
- 2 tsp. Olive oil
- 1/2 c. Whole wheat flour
- 2 Tbsp. Yellow Cornmeal
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
- 1/2 - 1 c. all purpose flour

Combine yeast and warm water, let stand for 5 minutes to proof

Stir in honey and oil to yeast and water

In a medium bowl, combine whole wheat flour, corn meal, and salt

Stir in yeast mixture

Using a wooden spoon, stir in as much all purpose flour as you can

Turn dought out onto lightly floured surface and kneed in extra flour until dough is smooth and elastic (3-4 minutes)

Shape into a ball, cover and let rise in a warm place for 30-45 minutes

Preheat Oven to 425 F or 215 C

Grease baking sheet or use pizza stone

Punch down down, divide in half, let rest 10 minutes

On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a thin oval, put on baking sheet, and prick dough with fork

Bake for 6-8 minutes

Put on toppings and bake for 5- 10 min
