Quiche Lorraine
ingredients
- 1 unbaked pie crust
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 8 ounces Swiss Cheese, shredded (2 cups)
- 2 slightly beaten eggs
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp American cheese

Cook bacon till crisp; drain, crumble and add onion and cook till tender.

Combine crumbled bacon, onion Swiss cheese, eggs, sour cream, salt and pepper. Pour into pie shell. Sprinkle with sharp cheese.

Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
notes
Variations of quiche: Replace Bacon with ham and broccoli or asparagus Replace Swiss with fontina cheese or any meltable cheese.
