Chili con Carne
Joy’s Favorite Chili con Carne
ingredients
- 4-6 cups red kidney beans
- 2 lbs ground beef (or ground turkey for healthier choice)
- 2 cups sliced or chopped onions
- 3 garlic cloves – chopped
- 1/2 green bell pepper- chopped
- 2 1/2 cups can stewed tomatoes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 Tablespoons chili powder
- 3 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
directions

Saute garlic in olive oil- add onion and bell pepper- saute for 10 min.

Add ground beef or turkey- Brown.

Add all other ingredients

Cover and simmer for 30 min.
