Cranberry Jello Mold
What would a Thanksgiving be without the jello?
ingredients
- Mold
- 1 6oz package cherry jello
- 1.5 cups boiling water
- 1.5 cup cold water
- 1 can whole cranberry sauce
- 1 20oz can crushed pineapple (drained, reserve liquid)
- 3 large bananas
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 2 cup mini marshmallows
- Topping
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- 1 cup reserved pineapple juice (add orange juice if more liquid necessary)
- Cream
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 3 Tbs flour
- 2 Tbs butter
- 1 Tbs lemon juice

Dissolve jello in boiling water. Add cold water. Chill until almost set. Add cranberry sauce, pineapple, bananas, nuts. Blend in marshmallows. Pour into spring-form pan. Refrigerate.

Combine sugar, beaten egg and pineapple juice in saucepan cooking slowly and stirring until thickened. Add butter until melted. Chill. Whip cream and lemon juice. Fold into sugar mixture.

Just before serving top mold with the topping.
