Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce
ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread
- 1 qt. milk
- 3 eggs
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 tbsp. vanilla
- 1 c. raisins
- 3 tbsp. melted butter
- Whiskey sauce:
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 c. bourbon

Preheat oven to 350.

Add beaten egg gradually. Cool slightly and add bourbon.

Bread pudding:

Soak bread in milk and crush by hand.

Add eggs, sugar, vanilla, raisins to bread-soaked milk and stir well.

Pour butter into the bottom of a heavy 9x14" pan. Add mix and bake until firm (approx. 40 mins.).

Melt butter and sugar in double boiler.

Cool and add whiskey sauce. Heat under broiler.
