Clean Out the Pipes Chile
ingredients
- 2 packages of 16oz Turkey Ground (substitute one package with hot sausage)
- 1 packages of sweet n spicy Tuna
- 1 package white rice
- 2 cans of red or kidney beans
- 2 cans of pinto beans
- 2 cans Mexican blend rotel
- 1 packages of Mexican shredded cheese
- 4-6 jalapeno peppers
- 1 6oz can garlic tomato paste
- 1 12oz Beer (a good American beer too….)
- 1-2 green peppers
- 1 large white onion
- 2 tablespoons of cilantro
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tablespoon of ground cumin
- 1 stalk of celery
- Cayenne Pepper/Salt/Pepper to taste
directions
In a large skillet, brown ground turkey and drain. In another pot cook the rice and drain. Sauté onions, green peppers, jalapenos and garlic until softened, about 10 minutes. Add all ingredients to crock pot except the shredded cheese. Cover and cook on low 2 hours. If you want it thicker add more rice, or if you it want thinner add a cup or two of water. Either way you will need at least a few rolls of toilet paper on stand-by. Cover and cook on low for an additional 2 hours. Halfway through the cooking time, - season to taste with salt and cayenne pepper. Don’t worry its worth the risk.
notes
I cook this at least once a month and always have extra risk takers. Serve with cheese, sour cream, and tortilla chips (or Frito's for Mom).
