Italian Meatballs
Delicioius meatballs to serve with pasta or on a meatball sub.
ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 cup fine, dry breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 small cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 t. salt
- 1/8 t. pepper
- 4 T. vegetable oil
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
directions
Combine first 8 ingredients and form into small balls. Fry these in oil along with the chopped onion until browned and almost done on the inside -then simmer in either a homemade or store bought tomato sauce of your choice. Serve over spaghetti or use for meatball sandwiches.
notes
Using freshly grated Parmesan makes a big difference in these meatballs. You can also substitue quick oats (NOT INSTANT) for the breadcrumbs.
