Grandma's Roast Beef
ingredients
- 2-3 lb chuck roast
- Dash of salt and pepper
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 packet or more of Au Jus
- 4 bay leaves
- Handful of dry onions
directions
Trim the fat off the roast. Brown in oil on all sides. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add 2 cups of water and dry onions. Put in 1/2 packet or more of Au Jus. Add 4 bay leaves. Cover and cook on medium heat for 2 hours.
