Aunt Mary's Hand Cookies

We made these cookies every year around the holidays. It was fun to decorate the hands to look like they were wearing a watch, or rings or bracelts.
ingredients
- 1/2 C. shortening/butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 C. butter
- 1 C. sugar
- 2/3 C. flour
- 1 t. vanilla
- 1 t. baking powder
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/4 t. nutmeg
- 1/2 C. sour cream

Preheat Oven to 425°

1) Mix shortening, butter, sugar, egg and vanilla. Blend in the rest.

2) Divide dough into 3 parts and roll each 1/4" thick on floured surface.

3) Cut shapes out of dough.

Bake for 6-8 minutes.
