Basic Breakfast Oatmeal
This is my breakfast staple however the toppings change regularly.
ingredients
- 1/3 cup quick oatmeal
- 2/3 cup almond milk, unsweetened vanilla
- 1/2 banana
- Sprinkle cinnamon
- walnut pieces or almond slivers
- season berries or fruit
directions
Cook oatmeal with almond milk for one minute in microwave. Stir and cook 1 more minute. Slice bananas into hot oatmeal and stir in so they emulsify. Sprinkle cinnamon and stir. Top with small handful nuts and seasonal berries or fruit of choice. My favorites are blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, peaches, mango and pomegranate arils.
