Cheesey Potato bake
ingredients
- 2 lbs. pkg. of frozen hash browns (any brand)
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon of salt, pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 - can cream of potato soup
- 1 - 12 ounce carton sour cream10 - ounces shredded cheddar (I use 5 ounces of sharp cheddar and 5 ounces of mild cheddar)
directions
Combine all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. (I leave the potatoes for last.) Transfer the whole bowl into a 9 x 13 inch pan. Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. bake for anywhere from 45 to 60 minutes. The edges will get brown and the middle will look nice and melted. Mine almost always takes the hour to cook. Just make sure to watch it after the 45 minutes. This size usually feeds about 12 people
