Ina’s Blueberry Cake
From Ina Williams and her German kitchen in Litchfield. This is for an 8" sq. pan. Double for a fluted tube pan.
ingredients
- Preheat oven to 350
- 2 eggs separated
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter or other shortening, softened at room temperature
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/1/2 cup flour
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/1/2 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
- 1 Tsp. flour 1 tsp. baking powder

Frozen berries work as well as fresh. Other berries may be substitued.
