Texas Gold Bars

This is the famous gold bar recipe. This was one of My Mom’s signature deserts.
ingredients
Crust- 1 Box yellow cake mix
- 1 stick butter
- 1 egg
- Mix together
- Combine:
- 1 (8 oz) Cream Cheese
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 Cup chopped nuts
directions

Combine cake mix, 1 egg and melted butter. Press into an ungreased

9 x 13 inch Pyrex pan.
Filling
- 1
Beat together. Pour over bottom layer and bake

50-60 minutes at 325 till brown
notes
I use 1 1/2 packages of cream cheese.
