Hash Brown Casserole

ingredients

  • 1 large bag hash browns (approx. 3 pounds)
  • 1 large onion chopped (approx 3/4 cups)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 3 cups shreaded sharp cheddar or colby cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • crushed corn flakes (1-2 cups)

directions

  • 1

    mix all ingredients except butter and corn flakes in a large bowl.

    spread in a greased 11“ x 17” x 2" pan

  • 3

    melt butter and drizzle on top of mixture then top with corn flakes

  • 4

    bake 350° for 45 - 60 minutes or until bubbles
