Homemade Limoncello
Homemade Lemon flavored liquor from Sorrento Italy
ingredients
- 10 lemons
- 4 cups high quality vodka or if you are daring you can use Ever clear
- 3 cups sugar
- 3 cups water
- Large glass jar with cover
directions

Peel 10 lemons

Put peels in glass jar

Add 4 cups of vodka

Cover and leave on counter for 7 days

Boil 3 cups of sugar with 3 cups of water until dissolved thoroughly

Strain into large jar cover and let sit for one month

You can add light cream to make creamy Limoncello however it should be refrigerated if you add the cream

I use the lemon peels after for cooking
