Shrimp Marinara
This originally came from a freezer cookbook. To freeze, cook only 4 minutes after adding shrimp, then cool and freeze.
ingredients
- 4 T. olive oil
- 2 onions, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 3 cups Italian style tomatoes, drained
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoons oregano
- 2 pounds raw shrimp, shelled and deveined
directions
Heat olive oil in large skillet. Start to sauté the onions, then add garlic and cook until soft. Add drained tomatoes to onions. Add salt and pepper. Simmer for approximately one hour. Add oregano and shrimp. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Serve over linguine.
