Chocolate Fudge

I like how the name of this treat is CHOCOLATE fudge. Just so you know it’s going to be chocolatey.
ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1 T. white syrup
- 3 T. cocoa
- 2/3 T. corn starch
- 1/2 c. nuts
- 1 T. butter
- 1 t. vanilla
directions
Mix well, cook to soft ball stage (don’t stir after it boils). Remove from heat, add 1 T. butter, 1 t. vanilla. Let cool. Then beat until it loses it’s gloss and is very thick. Stir in nuts. Pour into buttered pan. Wait until completely cool, then cut into small squares.

This is my grandmother Johnston’s fudge recipe. It is so good and brings back wonderful memories of my childhood.
