Chicken and Rice Skillet
ingredients
- 1 pkg. Country Pride Mesquite Smoke Flavor Seasoned Chicken Strips
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 10 oz. pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup Minute Rice

In 10" skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until well browned, stirring. Add vegetables and water. Heat to boiling, stirring. Reduce heat. Stir in rice. Cover and simmer 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes.

Note: So simple, but we really like this. You may choose to marinate your own chicken strips in other seasonings.

Try marinating chicken in buttermilk, sour cream, or mayonniase for several hours or overnight before frying or baking. The flavor is simply delicious, and the meat is so moist. Low calorie Italian salad dressing makes a good marinade for chicken before placing on the grill.
