Potatoes Au Gratin
ingredients
- 5 medium Potatoes
- 1 medium Onion
- Milk
- 6 teaspoons Butter
- Garlic powder to taste
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- Cheddar Cheese
- Bacon pieces (optional)

Preheat oven to 375°.
- 2
Peel and cut potatoes into cubes. Slice onion into finely chopped pieces.

Combine in oven proof dish. Cover with milk and add salt, pepper, and garlic. Dot 6 teaspoons of butter throughout the dish. Cover with Cheese.

Bake for at least 40 minutes (or until potatoes are fully cooked). Take out of oven and top with cheese again (also top with bacon here if desired). Cook in oven for another 5 minutes.
notes
For crispier top cook a final 8 to 10 minutes with oven on broil.
