Mom's French Toast
ingredients
- Oatmeal bread or any good bakery bread (sourdough, etc) * Thick sliced Texas toast is very good.
- Eggs, 1 for every 2 pcs French toast
- Powdered sugar
- Syrup
- Vegetable oil

Beat eggs in bowl. *Use 1 egg for every two pcs of bread.

Heat one tbsp vegetable oil in a skillet.

Quickly dip one piece of bread in egg mix. Flip over to cover the other side. *DO NOT SOAK*

Cook bread in skillet until slightly brown on each side. Remove and keep warm on a plate in the oven.

Serve with butter, powdered sugar and syrup. Garnish with sliced strawberries if you like.
notes
Mix cinnamon in with the powdered sugar for a special taste.
