ingredients

  • Oatmeal bread or any good bakery bread (sourdough, etc) * Thick sliced Texas toast is very good.
  • Eggs, 1 for every 2 pcs French toast
  • Powdered sugar
  • Syrup
  • Vegetable oil

directions

    Beat eggs in bowl. *Use 1 egg for every two pcs of bread.

  • 2

    Heat one tbsp vegetable oil in a skillet.

  • 3

    Quickly dip one piece of bread in egg mix. Flip over to cover the other side. *DO NOT SOAK*

  • 4

    Cook bread in skillet until slightly brown on each side. Remove and keep warm on a plate in the oven.

  • 5

    Serve with butter, powdered sugar and syrup. Garnish with sliced strawberries if you like.

notes

Mix cinnamon in with the powdered sugar for a special taste.
