Jen's Spaghetti w/Meat Balls
Can also use to make meat sauce.
ingredients
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 1/2 lb. spaghetti
- 1 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
- 1 4 oz can tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 c. onion, diced
- 1 tbsp olive oil

For meatballs:

Shape the ground chuck in the size balls you prefer. In a pan big enough to cook the sauce, add 1 tbsp olive oil, onion, meatballs. Sprinkle meatballs lightly with garlic salt.

For Meat Sauce:

Saute the olive oil, onion and ground chuck in a pan big enough to cook the sauce also.

Cook the meat/onion mix til brown. When the meat is brown, add the tomatoes, paste, basil, oregano, and garlic salt.

Simmer for 1.5 hrs, stirring occasionally. Add small amounts of water to get to desired consistency.

After 1 hr, begin preparing spaghetti.

Serve Meatballs/Meat sauce over spaghetti. Sprinkle w/parmesan.

If you find a bottled spaghetti sauce you like, you can use this instead of the tomatoes/paste mix.
