Hash Brown Quiche
Cathy Lanz gave me this recipe. I use it for breakfast, brunch or sometimes serve it for dinner with a Caesar Salad.
ingredients
- 1 - 24 ounce package of frozen hash browns
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 cup cooked diced ham
- 1/2 cup of cream or milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 tsp salt
directions
Grease 7" pie plate with butter (from a cube). Press thawed hash browns between paper towels to remove moisture. Fit hash browns into greased pie plate and make a solid crust. Brush hash browns with melted butter. Be sure to brush top edges too. Bake at 425° for 25 minutes. Remove crust from oven and fill with layers of cheese & ham. Beat cream (or milk) with eggs and salt. Pour over cheese and ham. Return to oven. Reduce heat to 350°. Bake for 35 minutes at 350° until knife inserted comes out clean.
