Chicken in Red Wine
ingredients
- 1 chicken (cut up)
- 1tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 Tblsp. chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 Cup flour
- 3/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup red wine (not too sweet)
directions
Wash and pat chicken dry. Mix flour with all the herbs, salt & pepper. Coat chicken pieces with flour mixture. Heat a 12" frying pan over medium heat. Add Chicken pieces in a single layer. Fry until lightly brown. Sprinkle with garlic and parsley. Pour wine over all. Simmer covered 35-40 minutes.
