Ginger Drop Cookies
The famous cookie much mailed to Sacramento! Definately one of my brother’s favorite parts of the Christmas season!
ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 Cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 5/8 cup hot water
directions

Cream shortening and sugar.

Add molasses and beat well.

Mix and sift dry ingredients together.
- 4
Add alternately with hot water.
- 5
drop by teaspoonful on greased baking sheet at 400 degrees for 10 minutes
Frost with a frosting of powdered sugar, margarine and milk mixed together. Add the milk slowly until you have the right consistency
