Apple Cobbler
Shared by Gerry Moore. Great for a fall dessert.
ingredients
- Topping:
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1/2 stick butter (melted)
- Filling:
- Sliced apples to fill a 9 x 13 pan
- sprinkled with a bit of cinnamon.

Mix dry ingredients for toppings.

Slice apples and place in a buttered 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Pour topping across apples.

Beat egg and add 1/2 stick melted butter. Drizzle this over the topping.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Grandma Gerry's traditional dessert. I think she made this every time we had company when we were kids, and we always loved it! The more cruncy topping the better!
