Mathias' Oven Beef and Vegetables
ingredients
- 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
- 1 Tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 Tsp salt
- Ground Pepper to taste
- 2 lbs cube lean beef stew meat
- 2 cups carrots, peeled and chopped into 1 inch pieces
- 1 onion sliced
- 1 cup celery, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/4 Tsp dried thyme
- 1/4 Tsp dried marjoram
- 1 cup dry red wine
- 1 cup beef stock
- 8 ounces mushrooms, whole or halved (depending on size)

Preheat oven to 350F.

In a dutch oven, blend soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, flour, and pepper.

Toss beef in mixture to coat. Stir in remaining ingredients.

Cover and bake until meat is very tender, about 1.5hrs to 2 hrs.

Serve with mashed potatoes (or noodles)
