Mom's Meat Pie



  • Crust:
  • 500g Flour
  • 100g Butter
  • 150 ml Water
  • 1 Tbsp Vinegar
  • Middle:
  • 500g Ground Beef
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • Some Pepper
  • 1 Tsp Ketchup
  • 1 Egg
  • 4 Hard boiled eggs (sliced)
  • 4 Sour Pickles (sliced)

    In a large bowl kneed together ingredients until dough is formed- refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

    Mix together meat, salt, pepper, ketchup, and egg to form meat paté,

    Ccover bottom and side of spring form with a layer of dough. Put a layer of meat, a layer of sliced egg and sliced pickle, a layer of meat, and cover with a layer of dough.

    Paint with egg yolk.

    Bake 400F for 1 hour.
