This soup just warms you up! We like to skip the spoon and eat it with tortilla chips.

ingredients

  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 2 oz can Green Chillies, chopped
  • 15oz can of Italian Style Stewed Tomatoes, chopped and in their own juice
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 tsp Lemon Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp Hot Sauce
  • 4 tbsp Flour
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • The meat removed from 1 Rotisserie Chicken
  • 1/3 cup Sour Cream
  • Tortilla Chips

directions

Saute the the onion and garlic in the oil in a stock pot until they are softened. Then add the chilies,tomatoes,broth,pepper, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, cumin, and hot sauce. Simmer for 20 minutes. Then add the flour to the water and mix until no longer lumpy and then add to soup. Also add the chicken, sour cream, and salt and pepper to taste.

notes

If you want to make your own tortilla chips just cut up a tortilla and put them on baking sheet and coat with nonstick spray. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes, or until toasted and crispy.
