This was a yummy Christmas Brunch dish

ingredients

  • 8 slices of Sun-Maid Cinnamon and Raisin bread
  • 2 medium bananas, cut 1/4 inch slices
  • 8 oz Neufatchel cheese, softened
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • powdered sugar(optional)
  • top with your favorite raspberry and honey sauce,or syrup.

directions

Heat oven to 350*. Spread cream cheese on to bread slices. Place 4 slices of bread in a buttered 9 inch square baking dish,cream cheese side up. Top with bananas and 4 more slices of bread with cream cheese. Blend milk, eggs, and vanilla. Pour over raisin bread, let sit for 5 minutes or refrigerate over night. Bake 40-45 minutes(50-55 if refrigerated)until set and toasted. Poke with a tooth pick to see if its set. Let stand 10 minutes. Cut french toast into diagonal halves and remove with spatula. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
