World's Bestest Macaroni and Cheese
The ultimate comfort food...rich and creamy!
ingredients
- 1 stick butter or maragaine
- 2/3 cup flour
- 12 oz can evaporated milk
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 lb. Velvetta Cheese, cubed
- 3 cups elbow macaroni, cooked.
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
directions
Melt butter in saucepan. Add flour and mix together with whisk. Cook on medium heat approximately 2 minutes. Slowly add milk whisking the whole time. Add cheese and sti until thick and cheese has melted. Add macaroni and stir gently until well blended. Pout into 9 x 13 pan that has been sprayed with non-stick spray. Top with cheddar cheese. Bake uncovered at 350°for approximately 30-40 minutes or until top is bubbly and lightly brown.
notes
Add cubed ham to the casserole and serve with a tossed green salad for a last minute meal!
