CARAMEL APPLE STRUESEL SLICE

Very yummy. I use a large cookie/baking sheet. I press the crust into place.

ingredients

Crust:
  • 3 C. flour
  • 1/2 C. butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 C. cold water
  • 1/4 C. sugar
  • 1/4 C. oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
Filling:
  • 6 C. sliced apples
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 1/3 C. flour
  • 3 Tbl. lemon juice
Caramel topping:
  • 1/2 lb. caramels
  • 1/2 C. evaporated milk
Struesel topping:
  • 1/3 C. butter
  • 3/4 C. flour
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

directions

Make crust and roll out on cookie sheet and form edges. Mix filling and put on crust. Drizzle melted caramel and milk mixture over filling. Top with struesel mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes.
