Millionaires
ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup dark Karo
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 cups chopped pecans
- Semi sweet chocolate (for dipping)
- Paraffin (mix a Tbsp. or so in chocolate)
directions
Melt all ingredients except whipping cream over low heat except pecans and vanilla .Let mixture come to a boil slowly and add whipping cream (never let 1st mixture quit boiling while adding whipping cream) Boil mixture until it comes to a soft ball stage. Set aside and add 1 tsp vanilla and pecans. Butter a 9X13 pan and pour mixture into pan and set in a cool place overnight. The next day cut candy into squares. Melt semi-sweet chocolate and dip candy in mixture. Put on waxed paper until dry. This will keep in the refrigerator a long time. Keep candy cold.

I use Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate bars for dipping (2.3 lb. bar). You can buy these at Sam's.
