Chicken and Dumplings
ingredients
- 1-3 lb. chicken
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 stalks celery, cut into 1" pieces
- 4 carrots, cut into 1" pieces
- 1 medium onion
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 3 chicken boullion cubes
- 3 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. flour

Cook chicken with butter; debone chicken.

Add water or enough to make 5 c. of broth.

Add carrots, celery, onion, bayleaf, salt, pepper and boullion cubes. Cook until veggies are tender.

Mix flour into 1/2 c. of water; stir in boiling broth. Add chicken.

Make dumplings by either using Bisquick or 4 large biscuits cut into small pieces.

Cook covered 12-15 minutes.
