Crab & Clam Chowder
A rich & creamy chowder that’s ready in no time!
ingredients
- Two 6 oz. cans minced clams with juice
- Two 6 oz. cans lump or flaked crab meat with juice if any
- 2 cans condensed cream of potato soup
- 2 bunches green onions cleaned & sliced, white & light green parts only
- 1/2 diced yellow bell pepper
- 3 stems fresh celery diced
- 1 tsp dried thyme leaves
- 1 tsp white pepper
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 stick plus 1 Tblsp butter
- 1 Tblsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 pint half & half
- 1 pint whole milk
- 1 can clam or chicken broth
- 1 6 to 8 oz.size can creamed corn
directions
In deep stock pot or dutch oven, add olive oil & 1 Tblsp of butter. Add green onions, celery & pepper & saute’ until tender, about 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients & simmer on medium low for about 20 more minutes or so taking care not to boil or scorch the cream & milk.
