Pecan Puffs
Bite-size cookies with nuts rolled in powdered sugar--a tradition at Schmitz Christmas!
ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine (or 1/4 cup each)
- 2 Tbl sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 c pecans, finely chopped
- 1 c cake flour or regular flour

Beat butter until soft; add sugar and vanilla and blend until creamy.

Add flour and nuts.

Roll dough into small balls; place on greased cookie sheets and bake in slow oven, 300 for about 20-45 minutes.

Cookies don’t spread, so they can be put tightly on sheet.

Cool and roll in powdered sugar.

About 2 dozen cookies.
