Texas Cake
ingredients
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup water
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon soda
- Frosting:
- 1 box powdered sugar (4 cups)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 stick butter or oleo
- 6 tablespoons milk
- 4 tablespoons cocoa

Cream together sour cream, sugar, and eggs.

Bring to boil butter, water, and cocoa.

Add to creamed mixture.

Sift together flour, salt, and soda and mix in.

Grease shallow jelly roll pan (11x16). Pour batter on sheet and bake 20 minutes at 350° oven.

Ice while hot with:

Combine sugar, vanilla, and nuts.

Bring to boil butter, milk, and cocoa.

Add to powdered sugar mix and spread on cake while hot.
