A cross between pudding and cobbler, this was a recipe from my Grandma. Incredible warm with vanilla ice cream

ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

directions

Cream 1 cup sugar with the butter. Sift flour with salt and baking powder, add alternately with milk to butter and sugar. Pour into a buttered shallow pan.(I use an 8x8 baking pan). Heat the cherry pie filling to boiling and pour over the batter in the pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
