My Mom's Overnight Buns
ingredients
- Mix and set aside to dissolve:
- 1 pkg yeast
- 1 C. warm water
- 1 T. sugar
- Mix thoroughly in mixer:
- 1 1/2 C sugar
- 1 C. shortening
- 1 T. salt
- 4 eggs
- 4 C warm water
- Add: flour until it is like cake batter. Add yeast mixture and add enough flour to handle easily.

Make this in the evening and knead every hour, two to four times. Shape into buns, rolls or whatever you wish (dough the size of walnuts. Place on sheet and let rise until morning. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until nicely browned.
