Chinese Casserole
This is not really chinese. This a total comfort food for the days you want to stay in and snuggle by the fire.
ingredients
- 1 lb sausage
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 bag of slivered almonds
- 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
- 2 c. rice
- 4 c. +water
- salt and pepper
- corn flakes
directions

Brown sausage, onion and celery. Combine the 2 cans of soup, 2 cups rice, slivered almonds and 4 cups water and a little more for the soup, about one can. Mix gently.

Once sausage, onions and celery are browned add to soup mixture. Mix together bake in an 8 x 11 casserole dish.

Cook at 375 for approximatley 45 minutes. Make sure you check rice to make sure it is done. Cover top with corn flakes and cook for additonal 10 minutes.
