Pumpkin Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting

Make fall taste just as good as it looks with this pumpkin cookies.

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter

  • 2 tbls maple syrup

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup canned pumpkin

  • 1½ tsp ground cinnamon

  • ½ tsp ground allspice

  • ¼ tsp fresh grated nutmeg

  • pinch ground cloves

  • 2½ cups flour

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • pinch salt

  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese

  • 1 cup confectioners sugar

  • ¼ cup milk

  • 1 tbls vanilla

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream together sugar and butter. Add maple syrup and eggs one at a time. Add canned pumpkin. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and cloves. Add to mixture. Bake 10 minutes until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for 15 minutes before frosting.

  • To make frosting, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar. Add milk and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Spread over top cooled cookies.

PREP TIME: 15 min

TOTAL TIME: 20 min

notes:

Cookie dough can be rolled out to be cut into shapes for fall or Halloween.
