Cabbage and Potato Soup
This is one of my favorite winter soups.
ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 lg onion, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 3 cups shredded cabbage
- 3 potatoes,peeled and sliced thick
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 tbsp dried dill
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- salt & Pepper

Heat butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion, celery and cabbage. Season well. Partly cover and cook for 10 minutes over low heat.

Add potatoes, chicken stock and dill. Correct seasoning. Stir and bring to boil and continue cooking partly covered for 20 minutes over low heat.

Mix flour with sour cream in a small bowl. Add 1/2 cup of the soup broth to bowl and incorporate, then pour into the soup. Mix well and serve.
