Patti's Quickie Chowder
A quick soup based on potato soup mix.
ingredients
- Dry Potato Soup Mix
- 1 – 2 lbs seafood (clams, shrimp, crab, lobster, firm fleshed fish, etc.)
- Milk
- 1 – 2 tsp. Old Bay Seasoning
directions
Make soup mix according to package directions except add an additional 1 or 2 cups of milk. Then add your cleaned seafood and seasoning. If using canned seafood, one to two cans is usually sufficient for a small batch of soup. Bring to a low boil and then reduce heat and simmer, covered for 20 to 30 minutes. This is great for a quick, hot meal. You may use either canned or fresh seafood. Serve with crusty bread
