Chocolate Bon Bons
A sweet gift to give to friends during the holidays. This was handed down to me from my mother, who began making them in 1978. I haven’t had a Christmas without them since.
ingredients
Candy- 2 boxes powdered sugar
- 1 can Eagle Brand milk
- 1 stick margarine, room temperature
- 1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 c. shredded coconut
- 3/4 cube paraffin wax (sold in the canning section at most markets)
- 1 TB. vegetable oil
- 12 oz. bag semi sweet chocolate chips

Mix all ingredients very well by hand. Shape into balls and refrigerate until ready to dip.

Melt chocolate ingredients in double boiler. Using toothpick, dip balls into chocolate. Place a dab of chocolate over toothpick hole when finished.

Refrigerate until ready to eat.
