Frozen Pineapple Salad

A refreshing salad!
ingredients
- 2 T flour
- 1 c pineapple juice
- 1/2 c butter
- 1/8 c sugar
- 4 pineapple slices, diced
- 2 oranges, diced
- 1/2 c pecans
- 10 marshmallows
- 8 maraschino cherries
- 2 pkgs dream whip
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 2 T lemon juice
directions

-Make a paste of flour & pineapple juice.

-Gradually add the remainder of juice & add butter, sugar & salt.

-Add a slightly beaten egg & continue to cool for a few minutes.

-Stir constantly & when cool to touch, add lemon juice, pineapple pieces, orange pieces, nuts, marshmallows, & cherries.

-Next, fold in whipped cream.

-Pour into an 8x8 glass pyrex & freeze solid.

*Or double ingredients & pour into a 9x12 pyrex.

*I have very found memories of this salad as Grandma Zillig only made this for Easter Dinner. I now make it for my Easter Dinner, to pass on the tradition.
