Butter Pound Cake
A moist & sweet (but not too sweet) treat.
ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 4 eggs
- 2 c sugar
- 3 c flour
- 1/4 t salt
- 2 t baking powder
- 1 & 1/4 c buttermilk
- 1/4 t soda
- 3 t vanilla
- Garnish with Strawberries * Whipped Cream.

-Preheat oven to 350°.

-Separate egg yokes from whites. Beat whites until they make peaks. Set aside.

-In a separate bowl, cream butter; add yolks.

-Next, add sugar, flour, salt, & baking powder; mix.

-In small separate bowl, mix buttermilk & soda together (it will foam up). Add to mixture.

-Add vanilla & flour mixture alternately......fold in egg whites & put into greased and floured bundt pan.

-Bake 1 hour in 325°-350° degree oven.

*Serve with strawberries and whipped cream or by itself with your am or afternoon coffee.
