Potatoes Au Gratin

- 6 medium potatoes
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2/3 cup domestic Swiss cheese
- salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 375°.

Peel potatoes and slice thinly. Grease a large, shallow dish with 2 teaspoons of the butter; put a layer of potato slices in the dish. Melt remaining butter in a saucepan and pour a little over the potatoes, then sprinkle with a little of the Parmesan and Swiss cheese, salt and pepper lightly. Repeat process until you have used up all the potatoes, butter and cheeses. Pour cream over entire casserole and cover tightly with foil.

Bake 50 to 60 minutes. Remove foil the last 10 minutes so potatoes can brown.
