Souvlakia
This is different than most souvlakia but still delicious.
ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 lbs cubed pork
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 3 tsps. tomato paste
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 1/4 tsp. rosemary leaves
- 1 chicken boullion cube
- 1/4 cup water

Sauté pork in hot butter until well browned. Remove from skillet and add onion and garlic, saute for 5 minutes.

Stir in remaining ingredients, add pork back into pan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer covered for 45 minutes.
notes
This dish is great served over rice, with a slice of garlic bread!
