Scotcharoos
Yum! Bars are always a great dessert, especially for large family gatherings, which we Killions know are frequent!
ingredients
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup white Karo syrup
- 1 cup peanut butter (smooth)
- 6 cups Rice Krispies or Special K
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup butterscotch chips

In a large pot, bring sugar and syrup to a rolling boil - remove from heat. Add peanut butter and stir to combine. Add Rice Krispies (or Special K) and stir until cereal is coated.

Pat into buttered 9“ x 13” pan.

Melt chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in microwave. Stir each minute until thoroughly melted. Frost bars. Cool and cut into squares.
